Interp 1: ?? k'an k'uh cháak nohol
English: The yellow god Chaak ?? [in the] south.

Interp 2: ?? k'an xìib'? cháak nohol
English: Yellow Man Chaak ?? [in the] south.

Comments: At B1-C2. In the second interpretation, the phrase "xìib’ chaak" is used on the basis of ethnohistorical data. This reading suggests that T1016c could have three different values in the Madrid Codex--k'uh, nal, and xìib'.
